Set across six thousand square feet of open ground on the Kukas stretch north of Jaipur, this Italian-inspired villa trades city noise for wide skies, hill lines and the quiet rustle of forest at the edge of the lawn.
Inside, the mood is calm and unhurried. Polished stone floors carry light from one end of the home to the other, tall glass doors slide open onto the garden, and the seating is arranged so that everyone ends up in the same room without anyone having to try. Framed artwork and warm wood set against soft neutral tones give the interiors a quietly cosmopolitan feel, while the bedrooms stay restful and low-lit, each one looking out at green.
Days here shape themselves around the water. Guests drift between the pool and the loungers along its edge, floating trays arrive on the surface at breakfast, and afternoons pass slowly in the shade of the palms. As the light drops, the screen goes up on the lawn for a film under the open sky, and the sunken fire pit becomes the natural place to gather afterwards, with the pool lit behind and the hills going dark in the distance.
There is room here for a stay that expands. Children have the full length of the lawn to run, larger groups spill into the dedicated party space, and the terrace stays free for anyone who wants the view to themselves. A chef on call takes care of the cooking, so breakfast can be laid out beside the pool, a barbecue can run through the evening and dinner can be served under the gazebo without anyone leaving the property.
This suits families spreading out over a long weekend, friends planning a reunion around the water, and anyone who wants Jaipur close by rather than underfoot. Amer Fort sits 17 km away, with Nahargarh Fort, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal and the walled Old City all an easy drive further south.
